I get it, he kept saying...I get what you the people want...I get it....NO, Ed, you do not get it what you get is your chance at becoming a multi-millionaire like Bliar and I have no doubt you will work assiduously for that end, sharing as much as you can with your brother and ignoring again the people of this country, the once Great Britain that you and your like have dragged over the precipice of disaster, with no thought for the ordinary'working' man and woman, who you and your ilk have saddled with enormous debt and repressive laws.
The people do not deserve to get you or any of your disingenuous fellows, they do not deserve to see this country decieved and betrayed by your double faced treasonous lies again.
Your party have spoken/voted for the least poisoned chalice, the one least tainted by the past, the trouble with the choice they have made is that it is the least intelligent form of socialism that they are voting on bringing back and the only hope that they have is that the rest of the country unite to make sure that you never achieve the top seat, at the top table.
If the voters of this country are stupid enough to fall for your dim witted charm, to vote you in, then really there is no hope for us, no hope at all...

Spidey, I do so hope that you are right, what worries me is that the middle ground that brought Bliar to power will no understand that there has been a change...
I like your blog but personally am troubled when I see the word retard used as slang or in some other clever way. As the parent of a child with special needs I always wonder if people would throw that word around so casually if in fact they had a family member with a disability. I guess not.
I don't see it as being a pc issue. I see it through the eyes of a community who are asking you to not use a word that marginalizes them.

The quip was just that , a quip and as it happens I have 2 members of my family who are ...how shall I put it, socially challenged, I also would not ever use that particular word in relation to any child/ person with special needs.
In fact I used to devote a considerable amount of time to working with and for people of differing abilities, I say differing abilities for a reason that being that I have never before or since felt such kinship love and affection as I did then with so called 'ordinary' people, and it was a great personal loss when my time in their company ended.
The quip was using retard as another way of saying 'to move backward' though I fully take your criticism and allow that the flavour of the posting was less than is worthy.
I am glad you have enjoyed my blog and hope that you will return and add your voice to the debate and I will make you a promise now, never to use that word in that way again!
